Technician Trainees
Qualified candidates can apply directly for Technician Trainee positions throughout the dealership. Trainees will be assigned a mentor and undergo training in the classroom and through on-the-job experience.
Trainee Mentors
Our mentors are experienced technicians, hand-selected to train the next generation of Warren CAT technicians. Mentors undergo a certification process and are passionate about sharing their expertise and guiding new technicians through training.
Jump Start Program
Warren CAT has developed the Technician Jump Start program as part of our ongoing investment in our technicians’ career and skills development. Jump Start provides new, high-potential/high-performing technicians (Trainee – Tech 1) with the opportunity to gain critical foundational technical skills that deliver immediate benefits.
As an invite-only program for dealership technicians, Jump Start participants receive hands-on, instructor-led training and web-based training reinforcement through our Dealer Performance Center, along with mentored application of those skills in their home shop setting.
On average, Jump Start participants are 1.5 to 2 years ahead in their career path compared to their non-Jump Start peers. Monthly classes follow a structured rotation of two weeks of instructor-led training with a subject matter expert, immediately followed by two weeks of applying those skills in the technician’s home shop with support from a trained shop mentor. This rotation equates to six weeks of targeted technical training over three months.
Individualized Learning Plans
All Warren CAT product support employees have a customized Individualized Learning Plan (ILP) based on their job duties within the company. Technician trainees are allocated eight hours monthly for Cat-specific technical training involving in-person, web-based and virtual training.
